I tried to contact you via private messaging, but it didnt work, anyways, i too have tried to get my 2002 s2000 into GRAND AM CUP. They said "dont bother", Ive been told by a long time honda racer(cant say his name), that there is no way in hell honda will allow this car(s2000) to kick the ass of any acura labelled car.
Open wheel racing in north america has the HONDA badge, and closed wheel racing has the ACURA badge. Thats the way it is. This is what Ive been told, and theres nothing we can do about it. Im kinda pissed because of the lil BMW convertables doing so well, it would be nice to race against them.

 

I tried too... it's more a matter of Mazda being afraid of geting their a$$es kicked than Acura. Our car would totally whoop the currently leading RX-8s and Mazda pours LOTS of $$ into the series.

Sucks about S's in GAC. Since SWC recently allowed FI cars in TC, has anyone looked into requesting classification of 2-seaters in SWC-TC (they seem to be opening up to more cars)? I know, not likely, but it doesn't seem like GAC efforts are getting anywhere.

 

Frustration all around.

That's why Honda Cup has so far been the best place to race our cars.


SWC -will- allow our cars in the GT championship with a supercharger only. I don't think that would be enough to take on the Mighty Cadillacs and the AWD Audi's.

you're not watching SWC GT are you?

No audi's this year. Mainly its GT3's, Vipers and Vettes.

But yeah we'd need a BIG SC to compete there.

 

Unfortunately, we don't stand a chance in SWC/GT, even with forced induction. (Although the pace car this w/e was an S2k. )

I guess Honda Cup is it... for now.
