Average suspension drop for track & street
It would be interesting to hear what the average drop is on cars that are tracked and street driven. I know many guys like the slammed look, but that will not allow for big rubber and proper suspension travel around the track.
What drop has worked best for you? (again this is for track effectiveness)

My car is at stock ride height, on stock springs, and using stock shocks. It's still more capable than I am.
You may be able to improve the handling through proper suspension upgrades, but that is (obviously) not the place where I would choose to start.

1/2" front, 3/4 " rear is what I had set mine at, though it looks like (not sure) the springs may have settled lower since. I'm running the tall 235F/275R 17" RA1 tires and seems no room to go lower.

I had mine closer to 2.5" in the past. It's fine as long as you have a stiff enough suspension to keep it from bottoming out. The main advantage to that setup is you get a lot more camber. But the main disadvantage is you're going to have trouble getting enough suspension travel and not bottoming out.

I really should have asked:
1.How much did you lower your suspension for racing/street (spring rates optional)?
2.What tire size's are you using?
3.What wheel/offset are you running?
4.Are you using any other suspension tuning parts, like a sway bar upgrade or disconnected, a strut tower or X brace, and so on....
This would give a better understanding of how the S is currently being set up for the track.
