Baffled oil pan/Accusump?
#11
Thanks everyone for the input. This is the kind of info I was looking for when I started this thread. I wanted to hear the good and bad experiences running these setups. Looks like I'll be doing a baffle in the near future though, welded by a pro
Any more info on these setups is appreciated, Thanks all

I run baffled. Specifically the lifetime warranty Blacktrax Performance unit: http://www.blacktraxstore.com/New-Pr...-Pan_p_39.html
Blacktrax uses a brand new oil pan to weld their baffle to. I believe the idea being is that using a used oil pan can possibly result in poor welds.

I sent an older Accusump from my Triumph TR3 to Canton Racing for routine cleaning. I will be installing it in my S2000, since the TR3 now has a dry sump. Already have a baffled pan in the S2000. Canton told me that they are working on a baffled oil pan for the S2000.

A good baffle means no need of accusump. If after a baffle you still see oil pressure drop, there is no other choice than to run accusump. You should run a data logger to log oil pressure. 10hz is more than enough.
If you insist of running accusump, don't run their electrical one. I had 2 failure in 2 years. I recommend using manual or get the moroso solenoid.

I'm waiting on Canton's pan. Hopefully it comes out soon. If not, i'll probably get a Blacktrax pan.
