Default BBK heat sheilds

I have just fitted a 330mm BBK and found my studs arn't long enough when I have my spacers and wheels fitted , anyway different story.

When I fitted the BBK I removed the heat sheild from the car. The rotors are about 8mm away from the rod end rubber boot/cover. There is also the ABS sensor which is close by!

Is this going to be a problem? When on the track will the generated heat from the rotors melt them?

Any advice is welcome, thanks

Most BBK require the removal of the heat shield to fit and I don't know of any that supply a protective measure in their kit.

I wouldn't worry about.

Get some header wrap and some wire and wrap the rubber dust boots.

I just trimmed off the minimal need to clear my Endless brackets, so the shield still covers all of the ball joints.

I did the same with my stoptech setup.
