Default BBK/ Heat Sheilds/ Track work

I have just fitted a 330mm BBK and found my studs arn't long enough when I have my spacers and wheels fitted .

When I fitted the BBK I removed the heat sheild from the car. The rotors are about 8mm away from the rod end rubber boot/cover. There is also the ABS sensor which is close by!

Is this going to be a problem? When on the track will the generated heat from the rotors melt them?

Any advice is welcome, thanks

nope. unless your rotors are GLOWING RED with heat, they won't melt.

some of the track guys who remove the heatshields wrap the rubber with some heat reflective/insulated stuff.

if i remember correctly, the heat will dry out the rubber and will make it brittle faster, resulting in the rubber cracking eventually, but sooner than if you had the shields or something protecting it.
