Bimarco Seats anyone?
So I am slowly prepping my car for track duty. One of the things I need/the next thing I plan to get is an FIA homologated seat (1999 spec as per SCCA club racing rules). I Don't really want to pay $1k for a seat, as I have only ever driven a car with a $200 seat and I have never been uncomfortable or anything in it (even during long enduro races). That being said, I am willing to spend more on a decent light-ish seat. I have done some searching for Recaro, Corbeau, Cobra, Racetech, Sparco, Momo, OMP, Sabelt, Bimarco, Kirkey, Ultrashield, any others? I have found a decent looking seat in the Bimarco Futura, but I have never seen anyone running this brand. Does anyone have an opinion on them? The seat is FRP (like many of the others) and has the proper FIA approval, so I figure it's probably a safe bet.
I'm also a little curious as to what will need to be done to the car to fit one of these seats. I will be running with a full interior for a while after I get the seat, will I need to modify it any or a lot? I guess it probably depends on the width of the seat and how wide the shoulders are.
Thanks!
