Default Brake advice

Are race pads recommended for a newbie on his first HPDE? Will the stock pads be enough?

Have decided to replace brake fluid with ATE super blue racing for street and track use.

Thanks in advance

you'll likely be just fine on stock pads then.

Have a great time.

I drove PIR for the first time this month. It's a fun (and surprisingly subtle) track, with a good surface, relatively easy on tires and brakes (especially compared to Pacific Raceways). If you're a newbie, your stock pads will be fine.

When're you going? I'm racing there again in June, and doing a track day the Friday before to re-acquaint myself with the track (they'll be running the kink this time).

I'll be driving my Spec Miata, not my S2000.

The Netherlands flag is just my little protest against the folks in Washington whose actions so often damage my country and/or embarrass us.
