Default Brake Cooling Problem

im currently running Carbotech XP10s all the way around with 2in brake ducts up front, i think the brake ducts are to small therefore not allowing the brakes to cool enough, there getting so hot to the point where i cant make a set of front rotors last more than 2 days.

can anyone help?

thanks

Rene

have you considered adding booster fans in them to run during cool down laps and into the pits? may I assume you are venting them properly - into the center of the hub to work out through the vents - not to insult your intelligence I just don't know what you know. other than that you are going to have to straighten out the duct work for increased flow, find a way to stuff larger ducting hose, go 2 true piece rotor or go BBK. call to discuss if you want 770.631.6779

well i have the ducts pointed at the center of the rotor, just like my two other race cars, but the other cars both have 3in ducts. and i have never had any problems with them.

do the sell the fans to fit the RPF1s?

raced at Sebring often in a 3300 pound car by rules with close to 380 HP on track temps 140 so yes, I know. The fans are sold by ducting diametre so it doesn't really matter. As you are a racer, you know how unusual this is for so lightweight and low powered an auto.is it possible your pads are dragging????? have you ever painted your calipre to at least see your peak temps or measured with even a laser pyrometre?
