Over in CAR TALK there's a recent subject which discusses replacing the faux front vents with ducting for the front brakes.
Does the brake ducting effect any SCCA A Stock class rules? No sense clobbering up a perfectly good AS charger.
Thanks
Chuck

Nope, you can't do this mod and stay in AS.

About all you can do is:

Front sway bar.
Shocks, must fit like stock.
Tires, DOT that fit stock wheels.
Alignment.
Air filter, in stock box.
Cat back.

I may have missed something but that about sums it up.

CG I appreciate your answer. I made the mistake of lowering my Miata through a spring mod. which threw me straight out of B Stock. Not the class for the $ conscious. I want to keep my soon to be delivered S2k in stock class. I'll save my hard-earned dough for some interior upgrades.
Thanks
Chuck

The only other thing is spacer plates. You can change the offset of your wheels by as much as 1/4 inch in either direction.

OK guys, here's one for you. Do the spacers that the car were shipped with count as original equipment and can they be used?

You could do a lot with those in re-balnacing the car!!!

(That's why I've kept them!!)

You got me. I'll check with some people. Would that work? From what I recall the spring spacers (I think that's what you're talking about) can cause damage if driven above ~10 mph - but I imaagine that someone who knows what they're doing might be able to something out. I imagine it they were allowed that they couldn't be modified.
