I have seen people suggest spraying the wheels with oil, but I'm just not feeling the love for that idea.
use PAM, it's sticky. it won't run if you aren't too aggressive with it.

I just got back from 3 days at the Glen. Which club were you there with?
Also, that looks like turn 4. You were shifting info 5th there? I was doing 100mph there as well, but could not get over 120mph by the end of the straight. How did you do?

How do I do it? Well let's see
do you have about 9,000 miles of experience at Watkins Glen?
It is all about experience and I have been doing the Glen since 1990...Actually it is more like Turn 3, the gentle left at the top of the Esses. I have to shift to 5th there otherwise I can't accelerate and I have to just maintain speed all the way through Turn 4 because I'm at redline and I will not shift while turning. The fastest way around a track is not always taking every gear to redline; short shifting in the right places so the car can be more stable in certain corners can sometimes allow you to carry more speed.
I have tried EBC Greenstuff on my car and noticed that the rears wore out quicker than the fronts (30 odd laps on the Ring). I switched to Ferodo DS2500 all around, but they tended to overheat and thus also only lasted 40 or so laps.
Now I run Ferodo DS3000 ENDURANCE up front with DS2500 in the back. I get about 80 laps out of them, so they are the most economical, as well. The Endurance pads have lower CF than the straight 3000 and are more rotor-friendly. They are no problem on the street, either.
Brake dust is annoying. I have simply given up
I can normally get most of the spokes clean, but the dust collects in the nooks between spoke and outer rim that is impossible to remove....

rlaifatt, are you still using these PF 97? Looks like they're a great bang for the buck compared with other pads that have a high operation temp range. Unless they wear out much faster than say, Carbotech pads.
