As stated earlier the 71RS is not coming to the US at this time, per Bridgestone employees. They can change their mind, but since they're not an evolution and much faster than the current tire, no reason to bring it over.

Yokohama debuted another tire at the same show, not much info on it yet.

Falken's have historically been a tad behind the current top tires. I expect that to remain the same and the 660 to be on par with the 71R's.
do you still recommend the 245 yoko over the 255 for str use?

Yes. The 255 is pinched on the 9" and the tire will prematurely wear, along with not feel great on that width wheel. Sucks because the extra little bit of 2nd gear from tire dimensions is nice to have sometimes.
