Default bumpsteer kit gap

You can see a gap between the toe arm endlink and the control arm. it is a j's racing toe arm.

is this normal?

Often ball joints have tapered studs, which means a gap is ok, but that would defeat the purpose of this part. I'm not sure how those spacers are arranged, I'd have to see a picture of it disassembled.

There should be a gap there to ensure the pin is seated on the taper and not on the flange. The flange is there as the support for the shims. It should be very close fr left to right.
