Default The bushing round up

Been trying to figure out what to do with my own car. Created this list, I'm sure someone will find it useful.

Front uppers
Spoon lists the rear uppers and front uppers as the same, so does mugen. You can purchase rear oem bushings from majestic for 28 bucks. I have no idea if that's true or not. I hope someone can chime in.

mugen - 350 *inc rears
powerflex - 110
rear oem bushing- 27 x 4 = 108
Challenge Offset front Uppers $165

Front upper balljoint
SBC 200
new upper arm 167

Front lower
mugen -100
oem new arm -280 x2
powerflex-62

Front caster
Mugen - 100
oem arm - 280 x2
powerflex-200

Front lower balljoint
oem - 63 x2
aftermarket performance 150~500

Rear uppers
oem - 27 x4
mugen - 350 *inc front uppers
powerflex - 110
new oem arm - 200 x2

Rear upper balljoint
new oem arm - 200 x2
spc - 200

Rear lower front
powerflex 63
mugen - 88 *includes lower rear

Rear lower rear
powerflex - 63
mugen - 88 *includes lower front

Rear lower balljoint
97 honda accord front balljoint (moog) - 40

spoon - 1200 70a
asura - 2400!!!!
energy - 200~400!!!
prothane - 275.38!!! 95a

Order I just placed:

Energy rear: 123.44
Powerflex race compliance: ~185
Powerflex race front lower: ~60
Challenge front upper offset delrin: ~165
and all new boots for the ball joints and tie rod ends: 84.66

So a little over 600 bucks and that gets a proper compliance bushing upgrade (I am not a fan of the energy units here) and no points camber adder up front. I think this ends up being the best value if you don't have a crazy amount of miles on your ball joints already.

I'm doing:

Challenge Offset front Uppers $165
Energy Suspension Rear Uppers (got them for free so why not)
Mugen Compliance $110
Power flex race for the rest $270 (front lower front, both rear lowers, and rear toe)
Total ~$550

The front uppers are the same on all years. the rear uppers are the same as the fronts on the AP1. AP2 had a rear suspension change and are a different size.

those are some nice bushings, and good to know on the ap1/2 front/rear upper's was wondering why some listed them different. ap1/2. also updated the list with the challenge bushings. nice find, do they eliminate the need for an sbc?

i have had my powerflex compliance for over 2 years and i love them. they dont make any noise and i didnt have to regrease them as of yet.

i plan to do all power flex this year but am not sure how to press certain bushings out due to the shape and lip of the bushings.

if anyone has a good diy besides the burn it out approach that would be great.

You must burn out the bushing with the 2 piece shell. It has a shoulder on each side and csnnot be pressed out in one shot.

Second link of the day to my bushing install. If it looks like im whorin' its cause i am. Still content with my prothane setup.

I have Powerflex race in the front upper, rear upper, and rear lower.
I have Hardrace pillowball on the front compliance and the front lower inner, as well as on all four lower shocks.
I also have the Hardrace Roll Center Adjusters on all four corners, and the engine transmission and diff mounts.
So far I'm really pleased with what this has done for the feel and driveability of the car.

(I do think the Hardrace front Roll Center Adjuster has very poor fitment, and I wouldn't recommend it, the Jay's Racing one is much nicer and worth the extra money.)

Why do you say the hardrace rca has poor fitment? I have that on mine and fits fine.

There's a group buy for the Blacktrax/Kingpin sphericals.
