No sir, unfortanatly that wasn't the case. I've got plenty of travel, like 3" front and rear. I wish the CR drove it's self. haha my ap1 was much easier to drive but once this car is figured out It should be faster then my 181k ap1.

Did your tune do something to affect the throttle tables? It looks like you're having a hard time applying just a bit of throttle. i.e. There's no 20% throttle application, it's either 0% or 40%. Maybe that's the driver... Some of the BMWs I've driven have a 'sports throttle' mode that makes the throttle highly non-linear (it feels like 20% pedal movement = 50% throttle movement), my runs end up looking like that until I turn that crap off.

Someone here referred me to the Smithees/Neil Roberts article some time ago: http://www.ozebiz.com.au/racetech/th...hocktune1.html
While there was some good info there, I found it impossibly disorganized for planning a quick adjustment. I rewrote all the points in what I thought was a more logical order and made a quick reference chart:

Hope it helps someone! I'm just starting to scratch the surface so I can't say for certain that it's perfect.

Check out Page 5 of this .pdf

it's not the same as what Lugod posted from the BMW forums.

We are getting in to a driver-specific setup quandry at that point though, so it's up to you what you want to focus on.
For whatever my advice is worth I honestly think this is more of a driver tweak than a car set up issue. I find when I use lots of input during a slalom that the car gets very loose like that also. The grippier lot is only going to exacerbate this as the front end is going to stick and dart around that much better. At low speeds squeeze the throttle on but you can be quicker on the hands... at higher speeds (like in your slalom) slow down your hands but you can be quicker on the throttle inputs.

I too have been using the Neil Roberts damper tuning guide with great success. According to his tuning guide, try adding some rear compression. The theory/explanations can be found here: http://www.ozebiz.com.au/racetech/th...hocktune1.html

Josh, do you think it was more of an off throttle looseness vs throttle application looseness?

I'm going to watch the video again in a bit.
