In-Car Video Setup
I just used this camera at VIR two weekends ago. It takes very good video on highest resolution. Bad part is it will only take 2GB of video at a time... yes, 2GB. I use a 4GB card. The image stabilization works very well, but did not like my higher rpm's. I'm guessing that having the exhaust exit under the passenger seat didn't help. Increased vibration was rpm-dependent, not speed related.
Anyway, this camera was recommended by a California track guy on corner-carvers.com. I am very happy with it.
Did I mention it's on sale for $120 on Amazon?
I paid $139 for mine.
If you're concerned about image quality, don't be. I compressed a 896MB video into a 57MB one and e3opian(picture guy) couldn't believe the quality. This is an exceptional value!

Anyone used the GoPro Hero camera?
I'm thinking about picking up their "wide angle" one: http://www.goprocamera.com/index7.htm

Thanks, I'd appreciate that.
What really interests me about this camera is all the mounting options it comes with. This would make it easy to place it in interesting locations on the car to observe suspension movements, tire clearance, etc. Plus, the price is good so if you wipe it off the side of your car with a cone, it's not a huge loss.

Fit at Limerock
Def a wide view bullet cam set up....
Good thing is the sync between the data & video for analysis... If you need that.

I'm running a small bullet camera attached to the front tow hook. It' feeds a ChaseCam PDR 100. The linked video has data overlay from my DL1 which was done with the trackvision software.
