If you guys need an official weight of the mufflers cut off at the 'Y', it's 41.6lbs.

Pretty hefty!

Welding mine up this Friday, but you wouldn't know it by looking at my car from the rear.
Verified @ 40lbs on my scales. Within 2lbs is ok with me. I used cornerweight scales.

Taking that much weight off the corners of the car will cause a nice reduction in the car's polar moment which will make it even more agile.

quick shot of mine. I run it like this everyday doesnt bug me, but then again i went from a skunk2 exhaust to this and its less loud lol.

Whats not shown in the photo is the U bolt i have holding it on, just didnt wana spend the money on a V band. Its a 2.5 90 cut to a 45 ish. I had to grind down the inside of the pipe to get it to fit over the stick center pipe. Love the sound

[QUOTE=Random1,Mar 7 2009, 03:04 PM] I'm not sure this is what is meant in the quote above, but this is what I have done. I was able to get a couple stock exhausts from people locally for free. You use a second resonator as the muffler.

I put on my DIY cheap/light exhaust but without the 90 degree turn down. Never got around to getting it done.

Between 3 and 4K rpm's, this thing drones quite a but on city driving.
Give her full gas, and the intake is way louder than the exhaust noise.

So far I am liking it quite a bit except for the drone on highway driving.

Just finished running a local event without a 90 degree bend and for most of the course the car was around 91 db's measureed from 50 feet out.
In Vtech in a long straight, there was few spots where it spiked to 96 db's.

I bet if I put on a turn down pipe, the exhaust would stay below 94 db's and maybe even below the strick 92 db's for San Diego.

mine came in at todays event at 85db at full throttle... lower than I expected, but I do think the system sounds pretty quiet at high rpms.
