Default Clearancing the Frame above Tire

Has anyone 'massaged' the frame rail that runs above the front tire? Just wondering if it requires more than hammering to move it far enough out of the way of the inside of the tire.

I've always had insignificant rubbing but I finally hit the point where I was able to consistently lay the tire into it hard enough to bind the steering and cause the car to start rotating on me. Corner is the bowl at Chuckwalla CCW with a consistent 1.75g on RC1. Car is not needlessly low, 850lb springs up front.

Andrew Wojteczko did it on his unlimited class S2k build. A bit over the top and very professionally done - likely far beyond what you're looking to do...

Hey - thank you, that is perfect! I'll pull the fenders off soon and take a look, doesn't seem too bad.

There are a lot of good ideas in that thread, nice.
