I know in the quiafe in my car, 6th gear is just less than 1:1. But we're na. You can tweak top speed w/ final drive after that if needed.

Those gear sets are nearly half the cost of the quaife and w/ the quaife you can pick from a ton of ratios. (on the 69g) (edit: * nm, I see the class rules for h-pattern)

Also a quick look here http://www.turnzero....gear_calculator

shows those gear sets are the same ratios as stock (basically)

I know Buddy Club actually makes close ratio gears for the K20 transmissions actually, I asked a friend who is building a Buddy Club sponsored DC5 circuit car (and builds S2000 race cars) if he knows of any good options.

To the OP) Ap2 trans has the more overdrive 5/6 gears with the shorter spread between 1-4 with the primary gear reduction factor, vs the ap1 which is more even spread through 1-6 gears. Not sure which trans your running, but I've never found either trans particularly shortcoming in gear ratios once I had a good NA or supercharged tune on the car (depending on what I'm running) with vtec in the 3500-4k range. Is more power an option for you? Another possible option would be to reduce the final drive some and compensate by increasing your rev limit.

interesting thing that kind and frana have come up with.
wonder how those gears would work in road racing and not just drag.
I had been tossing around the idea of a sequential or gforce box but that looks cheaper and dont have to have adapters made

The new Quaife 69G is a pretty slick piece. Beefier than the 60G we bought off Andrew Wojteczko and had to adapt.
