But if this pink anodized 13 puck clutch is usdm then its ok.
I think Jerry means that there is nothing wrong with the OEM clutch setup. Jerry is refurring to aftermarket USDM as well as JDM.

Spoke with a member today, he has the Exedy Hyper Single Carbon clutch on a SC'ed S2000. Says he loves the feel and is a lot easier to modulate. Says holds the engines power well.

Other people have gone the ACT PP, OEM disc, and Comptech flywheel. It seems to be the most popular setup for members with aftermarket clutches. The pedal is said to feel close to stock and the lighter flywheel lets the engine rev just that much free'er.

Ryan B.

I've also read that the OEM disc is super efficient and if you're MS it will last forever. I'm thinking that all those Grand Am Vipers and Vettes and Porsches probably use stock clutches as well.

I haven't looked into clutches in years (never had to on the cars I had), but I remember a while ago when people were saying the remanufactured clutches (CM, ACT, etc.) weren't as good at handling high rpm operation as the new clutches. Is this a complete fallacy? I remember some ppl reporting (and seeing pics) clutch failures from the remanu'd clutches.
Again, I have not looked at clutches in a long time and am just inquiring if there is, or was, any truth to remanu'd clutches having high-rpm operation issues.
Thanks.
