Thanks for the info guys. Do either of you have pics of the part of the bar the bolt passes through? I'm trying to understand what the saddle washer/collars are.
No pics but they're simply thick washers machined on one end to match the curvature of the outer bar where they rest. A flat washer wouldn't cut it. It's the thickness (I'm guessing 1/2" where the bolt passes through) that I surmise is where some corrosion has built up in spite of some white lithium grease applied during assembly. You can get an idea of the washer from the bottom of the instruction sheet found at http://comptechusa.com/store/media/i...ons/ins083.pdf - the adjustment bolt is in the middle hole and you can kinda/sorts see the saddle washers.

No biggie - next time I'd use a heavier grease.

It's probably because I have an MY00, but on a few occasions I have gotten some inside rear wheel lift even on asphalt. I think getting some non-stock shocks would help this.
I have an '01 andI get inside wheel spin at many events, even on full stiff, on asphalt. I've tried to make it work for me by spinning to keep the engine wound higher but it actually seems to work better to lift slightly to let the tire bite and then floor it again.

I'd love to know the difference between the stiffness of the Comptech vs. Gendron bar (anyone got a huge bench with presses or whatever to measure deflection?) - I could use more stiffness. Yes, I'm old. No, I'm not talking about that...

Now if I run a Comptech on full stiff, it might be wise to run a wider front tire on the street, right? I don't want an understeer monster on the street. I mean, I don't go nuts on the street, but occasionally I'll have a little fun.
I'm certainly not running a hot street setup - Pirelli P-Zero Nero all-season tires, 205f/225r. I don't get understeer on the street but then I don't push it that hard to get either end loose.

Also... suggestions on best place to buy the Comptech bar?
I run Hankook RS-2s on the street with 205F/245R and don't have a problem with understeer even with the comptech on full stiff. I chock it up to driving style or adjusting your driving to the setup. I think it handles fine even when pushed. I have had understeer, but like I said, adjusted driving. I use a little extra trail braking in most cases as an example. I was going to buy the 225s for the front but they were out of stock at that moment so I settled for the 205s, next set I'll try 225s.

Buy your bar direct from Comptech (www.comptechsport.com) or the GoFastLab.
