Default Couple quick str prep questions

I've searched and searched..

I am currently prepping my 02 for str prep.

Can I delete air pump and A/c?
Also can I run a smaller diameter steering wheel (sparco ring)? My knees hit the factory one... I see in the bcr something about integral air bag, but can that be read as seperate? being that the wheel and airbag can be removed seperately?

Basically if it doesn't mention a specific allowance in the rulebook, you can't. As far as your specific questions go, the air pump/AC have to stay. None of the emissions equipment (apart from the cat) can be modified. There was an allowance granted very recently for aftermarket steering wheels, however to be 100% compliant they have to be weighted to be as heavy as the stock wheel+airbag. For 99.9% of events I'm sure if you didn't bother doing that, things would be fine. This is just super strict rules-speak.

He has an AP1.
I think update/backdate is not allowed in ST, but is permitted in SP.

I don't think haveing it would really make that big of a difference anyways. Plus it's nice to have waiting in line to run.
