As I mentioned in a previous thread, and below, it doesn't work for me. The belt loosens up no matter what as a few others mentioned as well. However, I've got a new car so I'll try it again.

I have a pair, but PITA to ship.
Hmm....is it hard to take off the bottom and top seat covers....that's all I'd really need, correct?
What would I do with the nekkid seats then? Like people said, you can get them reskinned or maybe try Wet Okoles?

Well...I don't know....you're not using them now anyway, right?

CG Lock for sure. I had my CR for 3 years and the CG Lock makes a huge difference. Now I've got my AP1 and so far only have 1 track day this summer and didn't really notice this sliding down in the seat everybody seems to talk about. I'm wondering if it's because of the CG Lock or maybe it was just more subtle than I thought it would be and just didn't bother me. Anyway, I've got another track event this coming weekend and I'll see if I notice the sliding in the seat more.

What were we talking about again? Oh yea, we were trying to sell you a CG Lock.

Get a pole position. They come stock in one of the upper end P-cars so you're still technically not "aftermaket"

David, when I started, I felt the CR seat's lateral holding ability was lacking as well. Getting a bucket was one of the BEST things I ever did in terms of developing my driving. Not only did it hold me in place, it makes it so that you get more feedback from the car, so you know exactly when it's going to yaw.

I daily drove my CR for years with the Recaro in it, business suite and all. If you get a nice rail, it's not an inconvenience at all.

In fact, for me personally, I think the SPG was more comfortable than the OEM seat, and I know a lot of guys that would agree with me.

So, exactly which seat did you get Mike? Remember, also that I'm a bigger than you! Lateral support isn't a real big issue for me, although I move around a little, I'm pretty well wedged in between the door and center console. What's annoying is the sliding forward under braking, probably exacerbated by my 205lbs.

Recaro Profi SPG, but it's fairly snug on me. I fit into smaller (Bride Vios, Sparco Evo 3, etc., but this was a great combination of snug and comfortable.

If it's mainly a sliding under braking issue, just lock your seat belt

I guess I'll get the CG lock. Locking the seat belt technique didn't work in my previous car. Maybe it'll work in the new one, it seems it's hit and miss in every car I've owned. Perhaps it's got something to do with the way some seat belts autoretract properly when you get out and some just hang there.

Ive been through all stages from stock with stock belt to Full Containment with a 6 point and a hans. Performance and comfort go in the natural progression that you think they would. It would look like the following:

Stock Seat
Stock CR Seat
Stock Seat with Seatbelt lock trick and/or GC lock
CR Seat with Seatbelt Lock Trick and or/GC Lock
Bucket Seat
Bucket Seat with GC Lock
Bucket Seat with Harness

I recently put a more snug seat in my car (Pro Racer Hans) over the Pole Position that I had, and the difference was astounding as far as ability to focus on driving went. I liked the Pole Position with the 6 point I was using, but moving to the tighter seat made a world of difference, even over the pole position.

Mike is right - putting a seat in was the best thing I ever did for my driving as well.
