Default Cracked a rotor

Track use only on these rotors, no more than 8 days on 'em. This happened at Road Atlanta at the end of a NASA weekend.

Interestingly, there is no heat-checking, just the big-ass crack.

I wonder if this was a defect that manifested when exposed to high temps, since I've got ducts and am only running RA1's and XP8's and ain't all that fast...

I noticed your rotor didn't show any sign of stress crack. S2000 cracking rotor is pretty common, so now I bring extra rotors to all my track event.

This is nothing new...next time make sure you do an extra cool down lap if you can or drive around the paddock before you park the car at the end of the session

Did you open up the ducting to the back of the dust shield?

If you weld the rotor it'll be as good as the liberty bell!

Ok, I'm not quoting everybody, you'll just have to find your own reply:

Not OEM, Autozone Duralast (w/2 year warranty... )

Never cut

Dust shield is mostly open now, I was too lazy to get it all the way open.

It doesn't really bother me... I suppose the first one is a source of pride (I'm sure the next one will piss me off more). I just figured I'd get checking before a real crack developed.
