I get him at running high 1:50's. That's not that crazy. Showroom Stock C runs 1:47's there in Bone stock Mazda 3's, 99-00 Civic Si's, and Modern Corolla's. Hell I've run high 45's in our ITB mazda Protege which is about 130hp and 2680lbs. No doubt the guys moving but it's not unbelievable.
He is doing 1:50

Thats pretty quick depending on tires and weight. Good video of SSC cars I found.

I assume He's yelling at the Miata because the Miata isn't in his class but the red corrolla is in the class. And the miata just got inbewteen their class battle. Clearly if your a miata battling with SSC cars your a bit off the pace. So rather then get involved in their race you should pull over and let them go. My assumption is that's what Tim's yelling at.

Yeah, same here. I've been looking to buy an E30 325i (1984-1991) for around $2k or less. I'm gonna see if I can get into some automotive repair classes for the next two semesters at some community college (that'll really cut on the costs) before I do it though. That'll give me more than enough time to save cash as well.
