Oval? At Road Atlanta? What oval?!

He took that line assuming he would have passed the Porsche in time. Very risky for someone like me with no courage
When you have low power/weight car, you either pass immediately coming out of the turn or you don't pass! If he'd lifted and waited, that'd have been it, Porsche driver gone, repeat the frustration at every corner around the track. Don't know if I'd have done it either, but when you don't have any power but have a ton of corner speed, it is very very frustrating to have to lift at trackout. ANY kind of opening would be very tempting indeed...

Yeah, I've driven Road Atlanta and on the oval across the street. My question was regarding how on earth they could "use the oval" at Road Atlanta, when the oval isn't connected to Road Atlanta. Unless they've connected them with a tunnel or bridge since I've been there!

At the end of the track where turns 6 and 7 are, 6 and 7 are 2 of the 4 turns of the oval. As you head up the straight after turn seven, there is a turn to the right that then turns back onto the normal track between turns 5 and 6.
