Aside from the generally cited advantages of a 6-pt vs. 5-pt, the S2000 kinda dictates a 6-pt because there's a frame rail going down the centerline of the driver's seat - so it's difficult to properly mount a centered single sub-belt (5-pt). I did my dual sub straps (6-pt) a few inches off to each side of the frame rail.

And yes, I used proper backing plates :-)

I've got the five point Schroth and want to go to a six point, but the cam lock is attached to the fifth point--can the cam lock be opened up so I can swap it out with the 6th?

There's probably a way...but I don't know it. Take it to a race shop, and ask them about it.

My Sabelt is setup with the buckle attached to the dual sub belts. The guy that sold it to me also gave me a single-sub. There are some screws on the back of the buckle that you take out to move it between sub straps.

there's a hole in schroth cam at 6:00 position. get a thin center punch and push it in and that releases the crotch strap. same thing to get it back in.
