Cusco bar for track use?
1AP12NV: Just because they run something in Japan doesn't automatically mean its good. Like JZR says everyone's always trying to figure out the JDM secret sauce
They tend to throw logic to the wind in many of their products and rarely do they seem to have any real data to back up their from the hip ideas. (This isn;t the case from all tuning shops there but a lot of them)
&
w/ what Vapor said
If you aren't wearing a helmet ALL the time, cages and some roll bars are actually quite a bit more dangerous than having stock protection.
Sure your head might not hit the ground but can bang equally as hard and as deadly on a metal bar.

Oh I'm not infering that its good just cuz its JDM
Just that people over there are just as smart as they are here.... If it occured to *us* to make cages/bars a certain way, then it had to of occured to them to make them that way too
I guess I'd like to hear from the horses mouth why they made the concessions they did and what the cost was
And krazik, I think alot of times US racers dismiss alot of the "JDM secret sauce" you describe all too quickly, opting for more practical and cost effective options. There's gotta be some benefit to tuning these cars with their mindset. Case in point being the Amuse race car
But I digress. Thanks for the input on the Cusco products guys, too bad we can't have a Cusco rep in here to try and defend it
