Default cut on the sidewall (toyo ra1)

I check my track tires (Toyo RA-1) today and notice that the front right tire was scraping on the inside fender and notice that the plastic that hold the fender lining broke but the bottom part still attach to the liner (kind of shape) and that scrape my tire up. I have about 2 mm deep cut (it is deeper on the edge close to the top of the tire) and 4 inches long on my sidewall; the cut is roughly at the roll indicator so I was just wondering if it is safe to run it on the track or should I replaced it? I took it to a couple of race shop and they said it will be okay but they said just keep an eye on it. I just don

i wouldnt risk my life, better safe then sorry. so id say trash them

I just check and I don't see any cord but it might be almost deep down to cord so I might just go ahead and just order one new one just to be on the safe side.

then the tire is likely fine, but if you don't want to run it there's no harm in that.

you should be fine!! same thing happend to my A048 and i raised my car by 1/2" and took it to the track 2 day's later!
