Default DASH1 and DL1

I'm at the track this weekend and I attempted to install the DL1 and Dash1 today. I got both units and the antenna physically installed, but can't figure out how to work them . No instructions came with the Dash 1.

I just did some reading on Race Technology's site tonight and figured out how to capture data on the DL1 (just press the red button ; needless to say I didn't capture any data from today ). But I can't find any information on how to work the Dash1 to get even the minimum of laptimes displayed. Can anyone give advice or lead me to instructions?

v6 of the analysis software, has the DASH1 help files in it. In general all the instructions for their products are in the help files. I think it shipped with like a 1 pg quick start thing for the DL1 but the details are in the help file of the software.

Once you get the DASH1 working, I'd be interested in hearing more.....

Can't find anything on the DASH1 on their website. I'll play around with it again today. There's probably a default screen display that I hope to get working.

Thanks Jeremy.
Today I got the DL1 to work but not the Dash1. Now that you pointed me to information I should figure it out.

You think they would at least pack some basic instruction, even for installation, with the unit.

Gotta say, the G2X came with a printed instruction manual covering how to install it, how to make it work, and how to use the software. The manual didn't cover everything the unit or the software could do, but it was more than enough to get started.

I just used my DL-1 for the second time and was able to do so by following the directions that came with the unit. Basically, attach the GPS antenna, place the antenna in a location that has a clear view of the sky, and power it up with the included cigarette lighter adapter (or hard-wire it to +12v and ground). Then, wait for the unit to acquire satellites (takes just a couple of minutes), and when you're ready to start loging data push the red button and the green light (lower right hand quadrant) will come on indicating that the unit is operating. It will log data until you either push the red button again or turn off power to the unit.
