Data Video Overlay
I thought you guys might be interested in this. I was recently looking into some options for doing data overlays video. There are a few different options out there. A lot of the loggers have hardware options, but I was looking for something that would be more flexible. Traqmate seems to have a decent system, but with no way to import data, it isn't any use to anyone (including me) that's not running a Traqmate. RaceChrono2AVI has the great benefit of being free, but is difficult to use, has limited compatibility with data loggers other than their own, and seemed somewhat buggy. To be fair, I wasn't using it for its intended purpose and they are giving the software away for free, so I can't really complain, but it just didn't work for what I wanted to do.
In the end I decided to go with Trackvision. The price is high, but it uses a basic scripting language that makes it highly configurable for both the data it reads in as well as the was it displays it. I spent the weekend creating this S2000 based dashboard. Here is the first video I processed and uploaded with it, a NASA Time Trial I ran at Autobahn South last month. Let me know what you guys think of the dash!

Yeah, I should be able to distribute it at some point. Need to get all the files together and into suitable form for public consumption. Looks like you already have Trackvision, I'll let you know! I'm interested to see how it works (or breaks) for other users.
