Default Diff and Trans cooler

Hey,

Just started the fab and fitting of some Fluidyne coolers with Tilton pumps and Mocal fittings I'm planning to use to cool the diff and trans in the unlimited S2k build. The coolers/pumps/filters will increase fluid capacity and help keep metal particles out of the diff/gearbox which I'm hoping will increase life in addition to the cooler running temps. With the underbody fully sealed off I'm confident additional cooling will be necessary.

Here are some photos of the progress.

there are two separate cores with one shroud and fan. The Spal fans are available in pushers and pullers, we need a pusher for this application.

more here

Thanks,

Andrew

Very cool. Clever place to put it. The shroud looks nice.

Excellent build. It's fun to see these kinds of builds and get ideas or just learn something new.

Awesome build. You should start an official build thread and document the entire build.

Will keep progress updates coming. Pumps are here and I have worked out the mounting location, will install shortly. Waiting on fittings and filters.

Trans prop shaft and clutch are all worked out, will post more up on that shortly.

Is the trunk vented to get more air to the rear cooler. Wouldn't there be enough air coming through the front windows. Seems like the vented trunk might interrupt the air flow.

Nice build BTW.

Trunk has been opened up just to reduce weight, it is fully covered by the rear section of the spoon roof.
