Default Diffs and Coolers

I'm gonna pick up a clutch type diff for my race car. What brands are you guys in T3 using? I figured I'd just get the Kaaz since they're easy to come by but some of you have used another carbon type (I forget the brand off the top of my head).

Also what have you guys done about cooling. I know in T3 you're not allowed to alter the housing which causes some trouble. I'm not restricted to that. I'm figuring I'll use the fill hole and have another bung welded on since the drain hole would be a bad place to put a 90.

I ran the Kaaz and will probably go back that way. Might be able to get them through Livermore as well.

I believe the carbon type you're referring to is from a company called carbonetics?

ATS carbon 1.5 way

IMHO, 2 way is too aggressive on corner entry, feels like trail braking without your input

May not be as important for you other than 1.5 way vs 2 way. Does KAAZ have a 1.5 way?

Why ATS? ATS carbon engages smoother than non-carbon types (KAAZ,etc) which was important for T2 (now T3) because there is less chassis input which was an issue because of having to use stock springs.

yeah kaaz has either. (isn't it just 1 or 2 gears that are different to make them act 1.5 vs 2 anyway?)

Kaaz would be simpler to get too.

using the fill hole is going to be difficult due to limited room. it's tight enough just trying to get a socket and wrench in there.
