Dixie Tour 2011
Team CMM (Changed Mon Motorsport) finished 1st and 2nd in a tough BS class. Marc Pfannenschmidt drove brilliantly on both days to take the top spot, and I finished 2nd by .103. Fellow teammates Mark Baruth and Stewart Kestenbaum also had very strong showing in both CRs, finishing in 6th and 8th. Both cars were damn amazing, even in a non ideal run heat.
Had a blast, first national event. There are some crazy fast BS drivers, WOW!. Great job guys. I learned a ton this weekend about the car. Definitely need more seat time. Hopefully want get my azz beat too bad next time. Great job Bryan and Garrett.
Thanks everyone for the support. I love driving the S2000. The winter was too long. Got to drive some STR cars during the TnT as well, thanks guys! What a great weekend ... Left Louisville in a snow storm and brought home a sunburn!
Jay was on fire and driving better than ever. I gave it everything I had to keep pace on day 1. On day two, we both knew we had to spin it or win it! Sorry to the course workers
Jay is really putting in an effort, getting a lot of seat time, and a blast to hang with! If he keeps this up, he will earn a Jacket this year while everyone cheers him on!
Galgola started figuring his AP1 out on day 2. Once this car has a setup that works for him, watch out! Tommy coned away day 1 and is still playing with the new shocks. Both these guys are faster than the results show.
Way to go STR! It was very exiting to watch! Geoff, Mike, and Jon were representing the S2000s well and bring home trophies! Day 1 was a course that suited a Miata very well, no doubt. Day 2 open up and the S2000s had the chance to put down some power. I was amazed with the power out of Licursi's car! Simply WOW! Once he tunes that suspension a bit more, that is going to be a great car!

Nice work guys. Wish I could have been there too. I will have to work on catching up when I start racing again in a month.
Did anyone see this youtube video yet some good BS shots.

Nice write-up about BS on the scca.com website
CECIL, Ga. (March 16, 2011) –The 2011 Tire Rack® SCCA Solo National Tour officially opened this past weekend, bringing 240 competitors to the South Georgia Motorsports Park in Cecil, Ga.
The Dixie Region hosted the event for the fifth consecutive year, making use of the available space in the paddock of the multi-use facility that hosts drag races and oval track events and including a Friday night participant party with help from the Atlanta Region Solo group.
Multiple-time National Champion John Thomas designed the opening-round course, setting up a fast and flowing layout with some technical aspects that could bite the inexperienced or those who lost concentration for even a brief moment.
In a field that featured many defending National Champions, in a series where margins of victory are measure in tenths of a second (or less), those brief moments can be the difference between going home with a trophy or going home empty handed.
While it may not have been a lack of concentration that decided it, one similar example came in the B Stock class, where National Champion Marc Pfannenschmidt, of Louisville, Ky., drove his 2008 Gods Blessings Honda S2000 to a 0.103-second win over Jadrice Toussaint, of Charlotte, N.C. Toussaint lowered his time on the last of his six runs, but fell just short of Pfannenschmidt’s tally.
