Here's an example for all you new DL1 owners to start familiarizing yourself with the DL1 analysis software. This is with the just released v6 version of the software.

Same car : EP3 Type R on Advan 048s; 2 different drivers: My friend Larry (black data), and myself (red data).

Top Left is the Track Map View with the interactive mode checked (this highlights the line/position data from the selected data segments only). Top Right is Speed vs Time graph for sectors 1 &2. Along the bottom is the lateral accelerations for the entire lap. All the text in blue was added by me to help make things more clear for DL1 newbies.

T1: Larry got a better run onto the main straight and ended up with about 3mph more before turning in, I made up for it by carrying more speed through the corner. Result was that we were nearly dead even.

T2: I carried about 4-5mph more speed through that corner even though we were both on nearly the same line. I might have been drifting in a smidge sooner while still on the brakes. I suspect this difference was mainly due to the fact that I was carrying 4th gear and he might have been using 3rd, potentially over slowing the car. (this is where it would be nice to have that RPM pickup installed). Earlier in my session I had been using 3rd but ended up using 4th and I think that proved to be faster. Result, I picked up a little gap.
