Well my car is all stock and the drag races are coming up. I was wondering if i used race gas would it help any or harm my car at all? I think the clock there is wrong becuase the preludes out there are running 15s and i hoping to beat that so i dont look bad hahaha=P

You wouldn't really benefit from race gas. Make sure you do the 6k RPM dump from the starts so you don't fry your differential. Happy dragging.

so at 6k is the best way to get going right? i havent got to really run the car hard yet and im gonna sell it soon. But i want to atleast take it to the track before i sell it. would 6500 be better? im scared that if i drop the clutch at to low of an rpm the car would just kinda well you know.

It depends,on a lot of things;track condition,temperature,elevation,etc...

Unlike road courses/racing circuits, 1/4 mile stretches of pavement with no cross traffic/pedestrians, etc. are plentiful in rural and or industrial/commercial zones. You could always, err...practice your clutch drops before you test your might against ferocious 15 sec. Preludes.

lol, an S2k at the drag strip. Like bringing a knife to a gun fight. Anyhoo, from what I understand if you are a half decent driver its not hard to make a 14 second flat pass...

I'll save you the trouble. You'll get a 14.3 +/- 0.4s. Unlike some of my pals I don't dis' drag racers but I don't see any point in dragging a stock car except just for fun and if you are going to do that then just save the money and go have fun. The goal of drag racing is to spend as much money as you can to get down the strip in as short a time as possible. To do that you need to move less car or move it with more engine. If you are stock then you will get the same times as everyone else who has ever drag raced a stock S2000.

if you want to go measurably faster then you are going to need to spend some $$$ and not a few but many hundreds to thousands. Get some drag race tires.

I might go this Friday - my car is all stock except for Azenis.
For fun and to practice and to see if I can match that flat time for the heck of it...something to do.
