That's my thought on why I haven't purchased a specific driving shoe yet... I keep thinking I'll not like them, however, I'm tempted to pick up some Puma's for trying it out.

I've never tried driving shoes but I second some flat shoes. My personal favorite are Converse slip on shoes (they're comfy), but I can see Chucks being good as well.

after making the switch to my sparcos. i am uncomfortable to drive on track without them. makes my feet feel more in tune with the pedals.

I use my SFI shoes from Crow safety. Super comfy, like fire resistant slippers with a thin flat sole to feel the pedals. Its possibly the most comfy part of my safety gear.

Skate shoes have always felt good to me; the soles are fairly rigid and flat, and the tongues are nice and cushy I had these Sheckler Etnies, but looks like skate shoes have changed some since 2007...though they are probably still rigid and flat...nothing safe about them, just feel good.

I have 3/4 sets of speed cats, use them on/off track. Probably will get a "real" racing shoe soon along with suit
