and yeah $2k isn't cheap. But don't forget you also get to move the engine down. How much is TBD but that will make a real world difference on the handiling of the car.

where about are you mounting the oil pump?
Is the design for race car or street car ie do you fabricate any extra bracket/pulley for the oil pump or are you mounting it in the AC compressor location?

I might be interested in some of the parts if the price is right.

 

no you will not have to lose AC. it will -most likely- be on the header side of the engine. So yes we'll be fabricating the brakets.

 

I had originally thought i would install it at the AC mount point but have since decided against it. Two of the four mount holes for the AC bracket are part of the OEM oil pan.

At this point the plan is to fabricate a pump mount bracket that will be sandwiched between the passenger side engine mount bracket and the block. That will obviously space the engine mount points further apart. The increased spacing will be accommodated by new solid motor mounts that will also lower the engine by some amount.

I cant imagine any need for a dry sump system on a street S2K, but then, that may just be a lack of imagination on my part.

 

I'd be interested if it was in the 1500 range
