Default E-Brake Delete

Has anyone deleted their e-brake? I dont know that I would have any use for it on a dedicated time trials car. I was thinking about just removing the handle and cables, but is there a honda rear caliper out there that would fit the S2k without a built in e-brake?

I removed the e-brake many years ago, but still using the OEM rear calipers (as required by SCCA). I took the unnecessary parts off the calipers, but did not do anything that was not reversible. That way I can still use these calipers as cores, if I need to.

My car is stripped/gutted/dedicated track car and I've thought to myself: "thank god I left this thing in here" so many freaking times. Solo loading/unloading is much less sketchy with it. Being pulled flat towed off track is much easier with it. Paddocking on a uneven surface is easier with it.

I no longer have an e-brake since installing the Stop Tech Trophy kit front and rear. There are times when it would be nice to have but I mostly just drive the car to and from the track so it's not bad. I would not do this if you do much more street driving than that.

Wheel chalks or boards can be used for parking on hills etc, but I usually don't use them and just find level ground to park on (and put it in gear of course).

If your setup has the ability to retain it, why not keep it? Should your hydraulic system fail, could be the difference between an off in the grass and an off resulting a dive into the woods.
