ebay oil pan baffle

I put mine in because of the reports from guys with oil pressure gauges on how the pressure was fluctuating so much on the track. It was a cheap upgrade since the engine was already out of the car anyway.

ITS A FLAT PIECE OF SHEET ALUMINUM. You aren't buying a chinese pan, you are buying a cut piece of aluminum.
In that case, INVEST in a good welder to install the baffle.
Funny: I just realized the NSX's pan is steel (one of the only steel components on the car), and the S2K gets an aluminum pan
It would also be a good idea to invest in an oil pressure gauge.

When I was shopping for one, I almost bought a JDM yo! pan... but then I saw robrob's build thread and thought, "Hey, if it's good enough for him..."
I have seen reports of shoddy welds cracking, even on the JDM parts. I left that work to the professionals at my speed shop.

??? Me no understand wtf you're attempting to say.
Basically that it was a simple, low-tech piece of equipment rather than a "chinese pan" or knock-off crap quality part that will kill your family with chemical contaminants.
He was refuting the "you get what you pay for" statement.
And saying that if you're going to spend money, the difference is going to be in the welding. So spend it on a better welder rather than on the piece of metal itself.

isn't aluminum a better diffuser/transferer of heat than steel anyways? i thought an aluminum pan would be a better material than steel.
