Impressive that it is basically stock curb weight. Looks like there isn't much S2000 suspension left, just some shell, so they probably would have been better off with a Miata for weight. Still pretty cool. Those Tesla/Volt mashups are popping up more and more for conversion projects.
I own two EVs and having lived with them, there's absolutely no doubt in my mind that the entire industry will migrate there eventually, even for enthusiast and track vehicles. Range/recharge is the only downside (I guess sound, but that's purely aesthetic). Everything else is staggeringly better than an internal combustion engine. Most tracks already have 240 volt hookups all over the place anyway.

Pretty awesome. Not exactly falling under S2000 racing/competition but here's my personal favorite EV in agreement with the dude above me.
