Default Engine and Track Trouble

Im posting this in here as I was wondering if anyone else on track has experienced this.
I have basic engine mods: J's Intake, header, and 70rr exhaust. I ran 4 sessions that day with about 25 minutes a session. First two sessions were fine and i had no problems, third session i was getting it and was flying really well. I was racing on Motor Sport Ranch and so it is a technical course, I would leave the car in third for the most part and did alot of in and out of vtec and also hovered over the vtec crossover until i got out of corners. Anyways on session 3 i was coming out of a corner and all of the sudden my exhaust started blowing smoke out the tail pipe, alot of it to. I quickly got off throttle, there was no CEL and engine didnt stutter or anything. I went to the pit and the car stopped. I talked to my instructor and he said it might have been fuel build up from going in and out of vtec. I let the car sit and the last session had no problems. Then the next track day same session it happened again but this time quickly went away as i was in vtec already. I had a 3 hour drive home in which it never did it so i can only think that my instructor was going somewhere for it to do that. My question is has anyone experienced this?? Or something to the liking?? Thanks

S2000s will blow oil out the breather into the intake when cornering hard. Put a catch tank on it and see what happens. Mike did the same thing when I got it, it's worrisome the first time it happens.

Bobby, if it was a right hander, likely just oil. Get an oil catch tank, and should solve the issue.

There is a positive crankcase ventilation system that uses 2 hoses, one of which vents directly into the intake. That is the one oil will get through under high G right hand corners, I suspect due to the baffle design in the cam cover. A catch can is installed so that the oil blowing by in this scenario is routed into a tank instead of the intake. You can then see how much oil you would have burned as opposed to burning it.

Another idea is crank vents, which I use, but I did have one instance of blow by at the RTA which Greg happened to be behind me for. So maybe a can is the best way to stop oil from entering the intake. What brand and weight of oil do you use? Its odd to me because FormulaRedline has an AP1 as well but with stock PCV system and never has this issue. I am starting to wonder if certain oils play a role in this situation.

yea i do have krankvents installed as i once was boosted, but even then it seemed to do it, i was really pushing the car hard in corners and the tires told me Either way it is running well so i will have to chalk it up to just that.
