I think he is referring to the diff when he says "rearend" and only the stock rearend is allowed, but with any gears.

How about -30 lbs for rollbar, -10 lbs for harness, -10 lbs for firesuit etc. etc. to encourage safety? Besides, the rollbar adds weight. (looking for any advantages I can get )

We may need to have a back-up tire in case, and only if, RA1's are in low suply then. I'd vote for Michelin Sport Cups.

tony,

it works the other way. The lighter of the 2 drivers sets the car weight, so the heavier of the 2 drives would actually be running more that 2900lbs.
