Flywheels
I have purchased a ACT pressure plate and street-able clutch pad. I had planned to have my flywheel resurfaced and call it a day. Ready through the Honda service manual, I found that Honda does not recommend resurfacing the flywheel. Does anyone have any experience with a resurfaced factory flywheel? I also would appreciate any advice on replacement of the fly wheel, OEM or after market.
My ride is a 2000 S2K, red on black, with 30K miles on it. The previous owner was a doctor that took exceptional care of the car. No dings, spot paint or repairs, that my body man could find. I got her at 27K miles. To date I have added

Honda would rather not take a risk since the tech won't likely have the surfacing machine in house, so they will just sell you a new one.. or worse, use the old one. Flywheels are surfaced routinely without problem and I would not hesitate to get it done. A machine shop should be able to do it in a few minutes for less than $20.
