Default Front Sway Bar

Trust me... I've researched this topic to no end and I'm stuck between two Front Sway Bars. If anyone can think of any other goods ones, please speak your mind.

Comptech for me is wayyyyyy to much and I"ve read not to use anything that is hollow but no supplier ever has any specs on the bars they sell, so I have no idea.

The two that I"m looking at are the Mugen and the Cusco, which are $400 and $275 respectively.

Which one do you guys suggest? THey're both 32mm but not sure if they are hollow or not. It's going to be matched with RE-01R's at all four corners (225/255) with camber setting of -1.5 front and -2.25 rear. Looking to buy for myself for Christmas... hehe.

Thanks in advance for any help,
Andre

of those two I have had good luck with cusco's products but no specific experience with the s2k sway bar.

However I would suggest that if you plan on doing anything more than the re-01r's or plan on setting it up for auto-x etc. Safe your self the hassle now and go with a gendron/small fortune racing. You can get a used one for close to the same price and everyone seems to love them. Thats what I have and it is great!

Probably not what you wanted to here but meh.

+1 on the Gendron bar. Not totally needed for on the street, but it has made a huge difference in how the car handles. Some people may not like it, but with how I have the bar set up, on my street tires, the car is very neutral in cornering, maybe even a hint of understeer (I dont normally vtec going around corners on the street, but I'm sure anyone could easily step the back end out if they really wanted). On stickier tires, that understeer more or less vanishes.

If you're not looking to track or autocross the car though, its a pretty big investment and I think the Cusco would be better. Never heard any complaints about it and thats what I would have bought if I didnt find the deal on the Gendron a few months ago.

I have Cusco front and rear. I'm not an expert on this but a really heavy front bar matched with the 06 rear bar is definetly going to change the dynamics of the car substantially. Is this for auto-x?

We have a Swift front bar on the Berk car, and it's a good rate for a street or track car. Stiffer than stock but not so stiff that it causes too much understeer. I'd recommend it for street and track on a car with light suspension mods.

This is for Auto-X mainly. I drive the car aggressively on the street sometimes too (when there's no traffic of course), so it will help there as well.

I know it will change the dynamics of the substantially, but that's the point because now I'm going to have more aggressive tires up front... so need some more grip out back.
