Default Gendron Bar Owners, Advice?

Well my bar came in on Friday, I installed it Saturday and the car pushed like crazy on Sunday, at the autocross.

I set the bar to the second stiffest setting and its a bit much for me. I had to really slow down to keep the car from pushing.

With the standard hollow bar, what do you guys/girls find is the perfect setting for the bar based on personal experience?

I'm on stock shocks and have a good alignment (2f/2.5r degrees). I also run the 245/275 710 setup.

Any info is appreciated. Thanks.

You would want the bar on the softest setting for maximum rotation. What are your toe settings on your custom alignment? On my '05, I had about 1/8th (out) front and 1/16 (in) rear. Keep in mind that the AP2s have stiffer front springs (more each model change) and don't need the stiffest setting quite as much. Here is a nice little link to help you with your suspension adjustments.

I have my solid gendron set to the second stiffest setting too, but I'm running 255's all around with KW V3's. My car feels pretty neutral with this FSB setting (and dampers set on fast).

With your 245/275 setup, the third softest setting should work. That's what I used last year for my old 225/255 setup.

I run mine on the Medium Stiff setting with some crapppy 225/255 tires. I used Gendron's alignment specs and have been pleased with the results. Of course I'm a little new to the auto-x and still learning but so far being the only "mod" I have done, I'm very happy.

Sorry I didn't included it in my previous post but for those that don't know my alignment is as follows:

Front 1/8th (out), 2 degrees
Rear 1/16th (in), 2.5 degrees

I got the alignment you told me to. Seriously. hey, I'm 00Mugenlude. I'm assuming my alignment is the same or very similar to yours.

How would each of you rate the difference in setting from on hole to the next? Minimal, substantial, etc.?
Oh yeah ... hey again!

Your alignment is exactly like mine but I only have 1/16 toe out up front. Softening the bar should do it. I currently run mine on full soft which should be no less than a lower medium setting on yours. I would move it to medium like the others suggested. You could also switch to Hoosiers to get that extra amount of turn in. You could take off the 275s and put 245s all around. The winner of the Atlanta tour, Tommy Pulliam, used 245 A6s all the way to help with rotation while leaving the bar on close to full stiff in his '06 AP2. I have used both the 710s and the A6s and the 710s tend to push with the 245/275 setup. The A6s do much better for me. Another way to get the rear to rotate is to change the rear toe to zero. Ian Stewart (Mr Sideways) did this with his AP1. I wouldn't try this in my car though as I tend to be very aggressive. The best thing you could do is have a good S2000 driver who is used to r-compounds c0-drive with you and give you some feedback on fine tuning your car. Feel free to keep asking questions if you still have issues.

From what I found when I had mine was I wanted to run it just stiff enough to limit inside wheel spin. For me that meant having a custom center section made so I could make it stiffer, but that was on a MY00 with Koni Yellows with 245/245 A6s. So I would just set it to full soft and drive the car, if you ever get inside wheel spin, stiffen it up one hole and repeat.

I have that bar, run it on the 2nd to softest setting, run factory max toe (but out) and the euro spec alignment minus 1 deg all the way around.
