Default Gendron front sway bar

I have an opportunity to pick up a used 1.25" solid Gendron front bar. How can I tell if it has the newer arms to clear aftermarket shocks? I used to have the original Gendron, but without it to compare to, I'm not sure I'll recognize the difference.

Found our answer:

This is the new style arm. You can see where it steps down in size where the end links connect.

Exactly correct. The old one looked the same but wasn't milled there so it's a constant thickness

FYI ... With really large shock bodies like my Ohlins TTX, (no separate canister) the included links will touch even with the updates hardware. You will have to make your own end-links to make it work.

I haven't measured the canister size, but I've got a set of Ohlins DFVs on the work bench to be installed over the winter. Fingers are crossed that the Gendron bar will have the updated arms.

thats what im scared of. im putting it HKS hipermax III. the shock body looks way beefier than stock. i have the adjustable endlings but they look like they might hit if i move them onto the 3 harder settings. i might be able to get away with the 3 softest setting. =( ill know sooner or later i guess.

The issue with the updates end-links is they move and bind too easily. I suggest making your own.
