The HANS has been out since 1986 and has been tested, developed and engineered to work with the worlds fastest cars.

This other Mickey Mouse crap that's out there is only out there because they started copying the philosophy that HANS developed and are now trying to cash in and sell a product that works in a similar fashion.

What do you think Sid Watkins would say if you showed up to an F1 race wearing your S&M Hutchins device? Or better yet, what do you think would happen if you showed up with JRZ bolted to your head (Isaac, I mean)?

There is a reason why all the top guys use HANS and it's not because they gave them the cheapest price.

I would go as far as to say that if you are not willing to buy a HANS, don't buy anything at all. It could be even worse than nothing. Similar to the situation of using full face helmets in cars with airbags. How many years have we been driving like that only for them to find out now that it's dangerous?

Just so you know, price wasn't a consideration as the HANS is cheaper than the Isaac. Convenience/practicality for what we do at a typical event was my biggest consideration, but you guys may be right and I should return it. I'll keep an open mind until then.

Bro, the hans come right on and off.

And, contrary to popular belief, you don't _need_ Hans specific belts. Most of the testing was done b4 they even had the hans specific belts.

I haven't purchased one, but I will and I wouldn't consider anything except the HANS.

Where is the cheapest place to get one?

It's like a monopoly. I don't think there is a cheapest place.

Buy your hans from Joe. He's a great guy, does tons for the club racer, and is so helpfull.

HANS' doesn't allow the items to be sold for less than list.

2 thumbs up for Joe.
Hans and Schroth belts can be had from no better source.

The best I've found is a 10% for more than one at a time.

Furthermore, the HANS device allows you to sit comfortably in the sidepod, clear under the slipstream

Used the ISAAC for the first time this weekend. I got used to wearing it it in about one session. Still learning how to quickly get the pins in that attach the shocks to the helmet, but very quick and easy to detach even with gloves. Rattles against your helmet in bumpy areas like in turn 8 at Willow, but soon not even notice it. Head movement is restricted. It's most noticeable in the hot pit where you can't turn your head to look at/talk to the starter without extending the shocks (still limited movement), and noticeable also in looking through turns like turn 9 where I find that I have to move my eyes more (not just head; I hear this is so with the HANS also). Can't say how well it works in an accident, and hope I never find out. It's definitely simple enough to use that I will use it naturally and routinely whenever I am on track without even thinking, like my harness.
