Default Hard dog bar with interior

i'm consideing installing a Hard dog roll bar in my S but I would like to retain the interior the most that I can. Are they any templates for cutting the plastic ? Any pictures with rollbar with interiors?

Gut it from the dash back. Door cards optional.

I have everything behind the seats removed(the seats obviously are also swapped for buckets). The previous owner of my car had done a nice plastic covering that he custom cut. I will try to get some photos. It closes it off and makes it look more GT3esque vs just having an exposed gutted rear area. Also the hardtop had to be trimmed slightly on the inside layer of the roof (forbidden double sided carbon OEM replica top).

I have a Hard Dog roll bar with harness bar and double diagonal bracing that allows access to the secret compartment. It does require you to remove the OEM hoops. I tried to fabricate replacement covers to go over where the hoops were, but fell down the rabbit hole before perfecting them.

I will probably upgrade to a full cage soon and will be selling my Hard Dog bar. I live near Charlotte, NC. If you are interested in buying it, send me a PM.

Oddly enough, I also have the Forbidden double-sided CF OEM replica, and it does not touch the roll bar.

I have the single diagonal Hard Dog and, like the OP, wanted to keep the interior intact. I did not find any templates so it was slow going to trim the plastics around it. Expect to spend at least as much time on that as you do installing the bar. It's not hard, but requires patience.

FYI, I liked the idea of dual diagonal as it doesn't block the rear view mirror, but it looked like I was going to give up one more click on the driver seat leg room vs. the single diagonal. Also, didn't think I could fab a covering that looked OEM to fill in for the missing factory hoops.

This is were I think getting a second track S2000 makes more sense. I love my car so much and once I get the interior out and the bar in, I know that will be the point of no return.

What are everyone's thoughts on running a roll bar without the diagonals and then using these ballade roll hoops to run a harness? Seems like you would be able to keep the OEM interior intact and switch between OEM seats/belts and bucket seat/harness

Yep. That was the first big step onto the slippery slope for many of us. Unfortunately most of the fun tracks require aftermarket roll protection. Slide the quarter panel into a tire wall once and poof! you now have a dedicated track car :-)

My thoughts are that is a horrible idea.
