Thumbs up Hard Dog roll bar install instructions?

I did a quick search, and found a couple threads with people discussing their ELDA bar install, but I couldn't find any basic step-by-step instructions. I now have my bar (welded cross member and harness bar) and am ready to install. Whenever possibly, I like to learn from other's experiences and mistakes.............. especially the mistakes. I don't want to gut what doesn't need to be gutted to get the bar installed. I have decent mechanical skills (replaced rear and axles with InlinePro 300ZX R200 conversion kit, as an example).

Pardon me (and the search engine) if this has been covered, but could someone list a simple instruction sequence for the bar? What MUST be removed when installing the bar, what to look out for (if anything) when mounting the under support plates, just how much of the hoop covers need to be trimmed, etc...

thanks,
Mark

What's the difference if you did want a hitch?

Thumbs up

Approx how many hours did the install take, for those who have done the install?

Just seeing if I should take a 3 day weekend, to get the done and have time to spare - not a real happy camper Monday's at work when I have spent my whole weekend wrenching............. and my hours don't leave much time during weekdays. Average mechanical skills for this group, I would guess............... installed the InlinePro rear diff kit, Koni Yellows, as examples........

thanks,
Mark

Interior stripping (first time) = 3 hours
Roll bar install = 4 hours (3 hours with air tools)
Trim and reinstall plastic = 10 hours

Dayum. I was fine up to "Trim and reinstall plastic".
Looks like I'm in for it. Roll bar should be arriving next week.
On track April 9, 10, so plenty of time. Worst case I'll show up with a roll bar but a lot of missing interior plastic parts.
