Default Hardtop rules for SCCA ITE

Quick question. Does ITE madate s2000's to use an OEM hardtop? Or does any other hardtop brands do?

Also, I don't see ITE rules listed under the SCCA official regs. Is this because different regions have slightly different rules for ITE?

Thanks.

I have the same problem. Apparently, it must be an OEM hardtop. I have an authentic Mugen hardtop that I am going to try to get away with. We shall see.

I don't know about different regions. I live in Utah.

Good luck!

Ite is different in every region. In both ca regions there is no requirement for an oem top.

Yeah, that's what I thought for ITE. I know for national runoff-able Improved Touring series an OEM HT is mandatory. ITE is more of anything goes correct?

That's all I needed to know. Thanks for the clarification Rylan.

the mid-west region states that the car has to be a legal car in some other series. so you have to have rules from what ever other sanctioning body and class the car is legal in. so when i was in ITE i used the NASA ST2 rules.

That's easy then. Use San Fran Region's ITE rules
